Her Majesty the Queen, the longest serving British Royal has today sadly died at her home in Balmoral.

I write on behalf of all Bassetlaw Conservatives Association Members, offering our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Royal Family.

On this incredibly sad day for the House of Windsor and all her Majesties subjects in the UK and Commonwealth, I personally would like to offer thanks for the many memories of what public service really means.

At this time our thoughts and prayers are all we can offer to the Royal Family and especially Prince Charles and The Duke of Cambridge whose lives will be changed forever.

Her role as Head of State with National Duties that strengthen and promote national unity for the benefit us all will now pass to Prince Charles.

Long live the King
