Last week a team of campaigner, councillors and local MP Brendan Clarke-Smith MP met with the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, during his visit to the East Midlands.
The Prime Minister spoke about the many opportunities available to places like Bassetlaw, including the Government's Levelling up agenda.
Speaking after the event, Association Chairman Fraser McFarland said "It was great opportunity for Bassetlaw members to meet the Prime Minister and discuss Bassetlaw District Council's failed LUF submission. As Boris put it last year, the first step for Bassetlaw is to kick out dozy Labour Councillors and we are working hard to achieve this."
